    Национальный орган по стандартизации или специально уполномоченный государственный орган исполнительной власти, который осуществляет в пределах, установленных действующим в стране законодательством, государственный надзор за соблюдением обязательных требований государственных стандартов и межгосударственных стандартов, введенных в действие на территории данного государства.
    Примечание
    В некоторых странах этот орган может также выполнять функции государственного контроля за стандартами.
